The 30-year mortgage rates for home purchases have soared to 6.7%, the highest rate in the last 15 years. It's hard to say who is more at fault. Is it Mike Garcia, the deficit spender? Is it Christy Smith who is trying to ride Joe Biden's ragged coattails into office?
