AB5, the state law supported by congressional candidate Christy Smith, limits the ability of people to find work as independent contractors. Christy's election opponent, incumbent Congressman Mike Garcia, has joined a delegation headed by Congresswoman Michelle Steele to send a stern letter opposing AB5 to Governor Gavin Newsom.
