Bloomberg reports that American families are trying to cope with rising food prices by buying less or cheaper less-nutritious food. Underfed children are exhibiting slowed growth, while other families turn to more inexpensive, less-nutritious foods, leading to childhood obesity.
According to Bloomberg, the rising food prices and shortages are leading to severely underweight children, slowed brain development, depression, and suicides.
